PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The universal remote EasyControl 8 will control most video and audio equipment. It replaces up to eight existing remotes so you just need one remote to control all of your equipment. On top of that this remote can also control lights and appliances anywhere in your home when used with X-10 Home Automation Modules. The EasyControl 8 is pre-programmed in the factory for most brands and models of equipment. Simply enter the code for your equipment and your remote is ready to use. If you want to add more commands, the remote is capable of learning the IR commands of almost any infrared remote control.

Learning
The remote control always works, because of the pre-programmed codes for TV, VCR (video recorder), CBL (decoder, set top box), DVD, Audio (CD, amplifier), ASAT (analogue satellite receiver) and DSAT (digital satellite receiver).You can even control audio and future appliances you will buy in the future by using the learn function on the remote control. By programming a series of keys, the Home Theatre MACRO function allows you to activate all your favourite home theatre functions with one press of a button. You can use the macro button to turn on the TV and tune to the A/V channel, turn on the DVD player, switch on the surround sound system, close the curtains, dim the lights etc.

Room-to-Room Control
When using the optional Powermid receiver, you now can control your Audio and Video equipment from any room in your house. The EasyControl 8 transmits an RF signal to the Control Anywhere module, which then transforms this signal into an IR signal, which is sent to your device.

X-10 Home Control
The 8-in-1 remote also generates the codes for X-10 Home Automation functions, allowing it to be used to switch and dim lighting in a home theater application for example. A simple key sequence allows any House Code to be programmed.
