DESCRIPTION

The IR Mini controller lets you use an infrared remote controller capable of transmitting X-10 commands to turn on lights and appliances connected to X-10 POWERHOUSE modules. The unit itself also includes buttons to control up to 8 X-10 POWERHOUSE modules directly from the keypad.

Buttons for All Lights On and All Units On are available on the keypad. When receiving an X10 command from a remote, a red LED lights up to show that a transmission is taking place.

Typical application

Philips Pronto or a 2in1/3in1/4in1/6in1/8in1 infrared remote at this IR X-10 command console and control up to 16 X-10 compatible devices. The console responds to infrared signals from the infrared remotes listed above then transmits equivalent X-10 commands to X-10 compatible receivers in your home.

This allows you to use the same infrared remote to control your TV, VCR, stereo system, etc., as well as up to 16 lights and other devices. By installing the appropriate X10 modules, you can use it to dim lights, adjust temperature, open/close drapes, as well as change TV channels or adjust the volume. If you have a learning remote you want to use instead, you can teach most learning remotes the IR codes to operate the Infra-Red Mini Controller. You will need one of the preprogrammed remotes listed above to do this. The special home automation codes needed are usually stored under the AUX or CD function of the remotes. Can be used with the Powermid and other infrared range extenders. The keypad on top of the console provides ON/OFF, DIM/BRIGHT, ALL LIGHTS ON/ALL OFF manual control of up to 8 X10 devies.

NOTE:

The IR7243 will only respond to X-10 IR signals. Your remote must be capable of sending these signals, either having them built-in or by them being taught to it. As you will see , we have included a Pronto CCF file on our website which contains the required commands.
