PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Universal IR remote controllers contain a library of codes to match most of the TV, video, cable, TV and satellite components currently available on the market. The 8 in 1 remote includes TV, VCR, cable, CD and 2 auxiliary functions, plus a sat. key and a X-10 Home Automation key. Backlighting is included. RF circuitry is an option, allowing the unit to be used for room-to-room remote control.

Learning
The learning function ensures that the remote will work with any audiovisual product, no matter how obscure. It even allows operation of IR controlled air conditioning and drapery controls.

Teaching the remote a new set of codes is carried out by pressing the key sequence to initiate programming and placing the two remotes so that they face each other. Each key on the original remote is then pressed in sequence followed by its corresponding key on the 8 in 1 remote.

Room-to-Room Control
With the RF option, the remote can be used together with an IR extender to allow audiovisual components such as a DSS receiver to be controlled from any room in the home.

X-10 Home Control
The 8-in-1 remote also generates the codes for X-10 Home Automation functions, allowing it to be used to switch and dim lighting in a home theater application for example. A simple key sequence allows any House Code to be programmed.
