The SD10 Sundowner Mini Controller functions as a standard X10 controller and it also has a built in photocell that automatically turns on X10 modules when it gets dark and then off again when it gets light. You can choose any unit code combination of 1, 2, 3, or 4, even all four. If you set the selector switch to 5-8, then it becomes 5, 6, 7, and/or 8 that will turn on at dusk and off at dawn. The light sensitivity is adjustable to get the right darkness level. It's perfect for bedstands, telephone tables, or any place where space is limited.
This compact unit also lets you control up to 8 different X10 addresses directly from the top mini-controller panel. It has four On/Off buttons that give you control of up to four devices (Unit Codes 1-4). Just flip the selector switch and the same buttons can control an additional four devices (Unit Codes 5-8). Also has Dim/Bright capabilities for incandescent lights and an All Lights On and All Units Off button. There's even a built-in LED that flashes to indicate when you're sending an X10 signal, so you'll know at a glance if your commands are being carried out. Simply plug the Sundowner into any 230V/50Hz wall receptacle, set the house unit codes, select the unit codes you wish to automatically turn on/off at dusk/dawn and you're in business. You can also use it to send signals to intelligent 2-way controllers to activate preprogrammed events (macros).
